About Me

I'm a senior systems and network engineer focused on secure, resilient infrastructure. I spend my time designing and implementing server platforms and the networks that connect them, with expertise in VLAN segmentation, VPN architecture and network isolation for enterprise, government and regulated environments.

I've led projects following NIST security frameworks, helping clients meet regulatory requirements while staying eligible for cyber-insurance coverage. I also have experience with state government systems and CJIS/CJIN compliance, making security practical and enforceable.

My approach to security takes an adversarial mindset. My experience in red teaming guides how segmentation, access control, monitoring and recovery are planned and executed.

Automation and maintainability are top priorities. Tools built in PowerShell, Python and Bash aim to reduce operational overhead and simplify auditing and recovery of complex systems, typically leveraging idempotent methodologies.

Outside work, I'm a lifelong nerd with a love for comic books and tabletop RPGs like D&D, Fate and GURPS. Besides the plethora of technical manuals, my bookshelf is full of Dungeon Crawler Carl, Terry Pratchett, Philip K. Dick, William Gibson and Neal Stephenson. Fine art photography and exploring New England's vast, beautiful landscapes fill the free hours.

Feel free to drop me a line; I'm relatively sociable (for an engineer) and will try my best to reply. There has been a recent uptick in spam, so I apologize in advance if anything gets missed.
